Job summary

SaferHandCare is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to support residents with daily activities in residential or nursing settings across multiple locations in the North West. You will work as part of a compassionate team, helping with personal care, mobility, meals, and emotional support to promote comfort and independence.

Full training is provided, and enhanced DBS, right to work in the UK, and a willingness to attend induction are required.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Full Right to Work in the United Kingdom is essential
• A full UK Driver’s Licence is desirable
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care is desirable
• Willingness to attend training and induction at our office in Newcastle-under-Lyme

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Supporting residents with mobility and transfer, using the appropriate equipment where required.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to all residents.
• Assisting with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met.
• Always promoting independence and dignity.
• Following and updating care plans.
