Job summary

SaferHandCare is seeking a compassionate Healthcare Assistant to support residents in various care settings across multiple locations in the North West. You will assist with personal care, meals, mobility and provide companionship while following care plans.

Full training is provided; DBS check is required or willingness to obtain one, plus Right to Work in the UK. NVQ Level 2/3 desirable; a UK driving licence is advantageous. Newcastle-under-Lyme office training is available.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Full Right to Work in the United Kingdom is essential
• A full UK Driver’s Licence is desirable
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care is desirable
• Willingness to attend training and induction at our office in Newcastle-under-Lyme

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Supporting residents with mobility and transfer, using the appropriate equipment where required.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to all residents.
• Assisting with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met.
• Always promoting independence and dignity.
• Following and updating care plans.
