Qualifications

• Up to date DBS
• Mandatory moving and handling training with certificate
• Valid RTW (SHARE CODE or any other identification)
• Professional references

Responsibilities

• Personal care: assist patients with washing, dressing, toileting, eating and mobility.
• Provide reassurance, companionship and emotional support.
• Monitor and report changes in a patient’s condition as trained to do so.
• Assist with safe patient movement and use mobility aids as trained.
• Record food and fluid intake when required.
• Follow infection control and PPE procedures.
• Accurately document care and report concerns to nurses or senior staff.
• Work with nurses, doctors, therapists, patients and families to deliver care.
• Maintain patient dignity, confidentiality and a safe care environment.
• Prepare equipment, make beds and keep care areas clean and organised.
