Job summary

Storm Homecare Limited is seeking a compassionate Healthcare Assistant to provide high-quality care in care homes and during home visits. The role requires excellent communication skills, fluent English, and a genuine desire to improve wellbeing.

You will assist with personal care, mobility, meals, medication administration, and documentation; travel between locations by car may be needed. Night and day shifts are available, with training and shadowing before night duties.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and empathy.
• Proficient English language skills.
• A valid driving licence is desirable for home visits.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily personal care routines (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Support clients with mobility and transfer needs, ensuring safety.
• Help with meal preparation and feeding as required.
• Maintain accurate care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Monitor and record health conditions, reporting concerns to senior staff.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with medication administration following prescribed guidelines.
• Support clients with domestic tasks to promote independence.
• Travel between care home facilities or visiting clients' homes using a vehicle (driving skills preferred).
• Night Shifts and Day Shifts are available; night shifts require days shifts, shadowing and completed training.
