Job summary

HTR Care and Recruitment Ltd is looking for a Health Care Assistant to support clients with daily care in home care and community settings. You will help clients stay safe, comfortable and maintain dignity while promoting independence and wellbeing.

You will assist with personal care, meals, mobility and daily routines; record progress and report changes to the care team. A caring, patient, and reliable approach is essential, with respect for confidentiality and boundaries.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care is preferable but not necessary, as full training will be provided.
• Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients with personal care tasks, including washing, showering, dressing and using the toilet
• Supporting clients with meals, drinks and eating where required
• Assisting with mobility, transfers and safe movement around the home
• Talking to clients to ease loneliness and provide companionship
• Listening to the needs of clients and responding appropriately
• Helping to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable living environment
• Supporting clients with daily routines and encouraging independence where possible
• Observing and reporting any changes in the client’s health, mood or wellbeing
• Recording and reporting care progression, incidents, accidents and concerns
• Ensuring clients are treated with dignity, respect and protection from abuse at all times
• Following care plans, company policies and safeguarding procedures
• Working closely with the care team and reporting updates to senior staff where needed
