Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking a motivated Healthcare Support Worker to join Ward 5, a 24-bed mixed sex ward focusing on ENT, maxillofacial and urology patients. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic, patient-centred care.

The role supports the delivery of high-standard care, with opportunities for professional development. Welsh language ability is desirable, and applicants fluent in Welsh or English are welcome.

Qualifications

• Meets all essential criteria as per attached job description/person specification.
• Previous HCSW experience.
• Acute experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the registered nurse/practitioner to deliver a high standard of holistic patient care, ensuring that the patients' dignity and equality are maintained at all times.
• Specialise in urological treatments such as prostate and bladder cancers along with head and neck cancer patients requiring tracheostomies and laryngectomies.
• Teamwork is our priority, priding ourselves on providing evidence based, holistic and individualised care for our patients and their families.
