NHS Scotland's Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, invites applications for a compassionate Healthcare Support Worker in Admissions Unit One. In this Band 3 role you will work with registered nurses and the multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care, perform clinical observations and support patients with daily living needs.

You will assist with admissions and discharges, maintain a clean, safe environment in line with infection control policies, and communicate effectively with patients,

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is essential.
• SVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment.
• A caring and compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care in line with individual care plans.
• Carry out clinical observations and accurately record findings.
• Support patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.
• Assist in the admission and discharge process.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with infection control policies.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
