Job summary

NHS National Services Scotland invites applications for a compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join Admissions Unit One at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. As a Band 3 HCSW you will work with registered nurses to deliver person-centred care, perform clinical observations, assist with personal care, mobility and discharge planning.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a healthcare setting is essential.
SVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment.
A caring and compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in line with individual care plans.
Carry out clinical observations and accurately record findings.
Support patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.
Assist in the admission and discharge process.
Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with infection control policies.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
