Aufgaben

• Provide excellent customer care skills to ensure patients come first.
• Undertakes a range of delegated clinical care duties to deliver agreed plans of care, acting on own initiative.
• Mentor and support new to care and Health Care Support Workers on the care certificate and to be a 'buddy' to any new starters.
• Ensure patients receive high quality clinical care and experience an excellent patient experience whilst using our Trust services, respecting customs and beliefs.
• Recognise and avoid situations that may be detrimental to the health and wellbeing of the individuals.
• Advocate for patients within the department to ensure a patient-oriented approach to care and meet NHS standards.
• Assist with fluid and dietary needs of patients including completion of menu cards, thickening fluids and recording intake/output.
• Collect specimens and record vital signs including weight, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, and oxygen saturation; report abnormalities to a Registered Nurse.
• Recognise when patients are in pain and report to a designated registrant Nurse/AHP.
• Undertake venepuncture/cannulation when requested by healthcare professionals (once competency is completed).
• Undertake catheterisation where competency is completed and applicable.
