Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a General Assistant for one of its care homes. You will help with housekeeping, cleaning, laundry and catering, and also handle reception duties such as answering the phone and greeting visitors.

You’ll be part of a team that creates a warm, homely environment for residents. The role is full-time (40 hours per week) with alternating weekend work, requiring reliability, compassion, and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Housekeeping, cleaning, laundry and catering duties across the home.
• Reception tasks including answering the phone and greeting visitors.
• Build warm, supportive relationships with residents and work to a high standard of care.
• Be adaptable to various tasks and take opportunities to develop further skills.
