Job summary

Phoenix Care (Havering) is seeking a dedicated care worker to support clients in their own homes across the London Borough of Havering. Shifts include evenings and weekends, with full and part-time options available.

You will provide compassionate, safe, person-centred care focused on maintaining client dignity and independence. The role emphasizes good communication, ability to work solo, and adherence to care plans.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full training provided.
• Chance to earn NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (showering, dressing, grooming, dental hygiene, toileting).
• Assist with medicines, prescriptions, and disposal of unwanted medicines.
• Shop, prepare/serve meals, clear tables, wash up, keep kitchen tidy.
• Use aids and equipment safely while preserving client dignity.
• Household chores: cleaning, laundry, ironing, linen changes.
• Support social/physical activities and reminiscence with clients.
• Assist with end-of-life care, appointments, and liaising with health teams.
