Job summary

Avery Healthcare in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant for Braintree Mews Care Home to deliver high-quality personal care and support to residents. You will be joined by a caring team, upholding values of compassion, dignity and respect in a warm, award-winning environment.

Full induction and training are provided; DBS disclosure is required and costs are covered by Avery. This role is based on-site at Braintree Mews Care Home, with opportunities to grow within the company

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and other people in the home.
Be an efficient worker able to carry reasonable instructions from team members.
Be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

Deliver high standards of personal care, contributing to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and elevate any identified risks in a timely manner.
Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.
