Job summary

Cross Keys Homes is recruiting a permanent care worker for Kingfisher Court, an extra care development of 79 apartments for over-65s. The role involves hands-on personal care, including washing, dressing, eating and drinking, and assisting with daily routines, cooking, shopping and repositioning in bed.

The 20-hour post runs morning shifts from 7am to 2pm with alternate weekends, and full training is provided. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Building strong working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Help residents with washing and dressing.
• Help residents with eating and drinking.
• Support residents with daily living activities.
• Cook meals for residents.
• Take residents shopping.
• Help residents move, including hoisting them into a more comfortable position in bed.
• Build strong working relationships with residents, often the only professional they know.
