Job summary

Outlook Care's St George's Nursing Home in Witham provides residential and nursing care, specialising in high dependency and palliative care. This post supports residents with daily living, documentation of progress and adherence to care plans in a warm, compassionate environment.

We prioritise hydration, nutrition, infection control and falls prevention. DBS disclosure is required, vaccination is strongly recommended, and right to work documentation will be checked.

Qualifications

• Excellent listening and communication skills are essential.
• Good basic IT skills.
• Ability to work flexibly and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care as prescribed in care plans under guidance of senior staff.
• Gives verbal and written reports on residents' progress on shift.
• Maintains hydration and nutrition for residents.
• Understands infection control and adheres to policy.
• Participates in falls prevention.
• Contributes to life story work and activity-based home culture.
• Ensures routine interventions are meaningful and person-centered.
• Sees the person behind the illness in every care opportunity.
