Job summary

Orders of St. John Care Trust is hiring a Domiciliary Care Assistant for our Extra Care Housing schemes in Abingdon. You will help residents with daily routines, provide companionship and assist with light household tasks, all within self-contained flats in our housing schemes.

Excellent communication and a compassionate, can-do attitude are essential. Training will be provided, and you’ll join a supportive team dedicated to high-quality, resident-focused care.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and can-do attitude with excellent people skills.
• Strong communication with residents, families and colleagues.
• Able to work well in a team and learn on the job.
• Prior domiciliary care experience is helpful but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred domiciliary care to residents in Extra Care Housing schemes.
• Assist with daily routines and activities and offer companionship.
• Support with light household tasks and personal care as needed.
• Contribute to a warm, safe and respectful home environment.
