Job summary

West Northants Council in Northampton is seeking a diligent Caretaker to maintain clean, safe and welcoming environments for residents. You will support housekeeping tasks, ensuring high standards of hygiene and compliance with COSHH regulations, while providing respectful, compassionate service to residents and colleagues.

The role involves 36 hours per week, shifts 8am–8pm with alternate weekend work. Contract is full-time; DBS and safeguarding checks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping, cleaning or a similar role.
• Good understanding of health, safety and hygiene standards, including COSHH.
