Job summary

Avante Care & Support Ltd. is seeking a Domestic Assistant to join the team at Puddingstone Grange in a relief role. The home provides person-centred care for older people in a warm, homely setting, part of Avante Care & Support.

The role offers pay of £12.75 per hour and flexible relief hours. You will help keep resident rooms and communal areas clean, maintain high hygiene standards, and support a welcoming, safe environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or domestic experience (desirable).
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control standards (or willingness to learn).
• Reliable, punctual, and well-organised.
• A caring and respectful approach when working in a home environment.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain resident rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas
• Ensure high standards of hygiene and infection control at all times
• Follow cleaning schedules and procedures
• Replenish supplies and report any maintenance issues
• Use cleaning equipment safely and correctly
• Support a welcoming, comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff
• Work in line with health and safety regulations and care home policies
