Job summary

Battersea is seeking a Rehoming & Welfare Coordinator (Dog Rehoming) to champion exceptional customer service while ensuring dogs find suitable homes. You will guide customers through the rehoming journey, asking thoughtful questions to understand needs and lifestyle, and collaborate with kennel teams to identify matching dogs.

The role is permanent, part-time (32 hours/week) with weekends and bank holidays on a rota.

Qualifications

• Empathy and strong communication to understand customer needs.
• Experience handling customer enquiries via phone, email, and in person.
• Ability to work with kennel teams to match dogs with homes.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers through the rehoming process with empathy.
• Identify potentially matching dogs with kennels teams.
• Support a positive, successful rehoming process.
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for customer enquiries on site, phone, or email.
