Job summary

West Northamptonshire Council in Northampton is seeking a Care and Support Worker to deliver person-centred care to residents, including those living with dementia, in a warm, home-from-home environment.

You will assist with daily routines, personal care, mobility, meals and social activities, rotating across 7.5-hour shifts from 7:45am to 8:00pm, with alternate weekends and bank holidays. Comprehensive training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and patient approach to elderly residents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily routines and personal care.
• Support mobility and safe movement around the home.
• Help with mealtimes and social activities to promote wellbeing.
• Monitor wellbeing and report changes to the care team.
• Work as part of a rota across 7.5-hour shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
