Job summary

Avery Healthcare’s Esher Manor Care Home in Esher, Surrey, is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant to maintain cleanliness and laundry standards and support residents’ comfort with compassion and respect.

You will follow our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring hotel service standards are met. DBS disclosure and eligibility to work in the UK are required, with a supportive, close-knit team environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring areas are well presented.
• Ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect and their personal space and belongings are respected.
