Job summary

Priory Group is hiring a Support Worker for Progress House in the UK. The role requires a full UK driving licence and involves 36 hours per week in a residential setting for people with learning disabilities and autism.

You will work as part of a compassionate team, assisting with care plans, daily tasks, and community activities while promoting wellbeing, dignity and recovery in residents.

Qualifications

• Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care
• Experience working in a similar role
• A caring and respectful approach to supporting others.
• Ability to work flexibly and think innovatively.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to upholding professional standards, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks.
• Encourage and assist participation in activities and community life.
• Support service users in achieving their personal outcomes in the way they choose.
• Maintain accurate records, care plans, charts, and daily notes.
• Build positive relationships with service users, families, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Uphold safety, security, and confidentiality in line with policies and regulations.
• Act as a key worker for individuals, helping them to set goals and track progress.
• Promote choice, independence, and involvement at all times.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and suggestions.
