Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant for Saxon Manor Care Home in Godmanchester. You will deliver high standards of personal care and work as part of a supportive team dedicated to residents’ wellbeing.

Experience is not required, as a thorough induction and training programme is provided. You’ll be expected to communicate clearly, show initiative, and adapt to a range of duties with empathy and respect.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful toward residents and colleagues.
• Efficient worker able to follow instructions and carry out duties.
• Adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to the care team to ensure continuity of services for residents.
• Assist residents with personal hygiene to maintain independence, dignity and respect.
• Identify and escalate clinical risks (weight loss, pressure sores, falls, infections) promptly.
• Interact courteously with residents and visitors, upholding dignity and individuality.
• Follow safe systems of work for all tasks.
