Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Care Assistant for Virginia Water Care Home in Virginia Water, Surrey. The role focuses on delivering high standards of personal care and supporting the care team to ensure consistent, quality resident services.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate effective communication, a respectful attitude, and the ability to follow instructions while adapting to evolving responsibilities within the home.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and other people in the home.
• Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
• Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care, contributing to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
• Assist residents in personal hygiene care to promote independence, dignity and respect.
• Recognise and escalate clinical risk areas in residents (e.g., weight loss, pressure areas, falls, infections).
• Act courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting each resident’s dignity and individuality.
