Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant to join Edenbridge Manor Care Home in Edenbridge, Kent. You will support residents with daily living, delivering high standards of personal care as part of our care team.

No prior experience required as we provide a thorough induction and training. You will communicate effectively, show initiative, and be flexible to cover a range of responsibilities with dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards the residents and other people in the home.
• Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
• Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care to residents and contribute to the care team.
• Assist residents in personal hygiene to promote independence, dignity and comfort.
• Recognise and escalate clinical risk areas such as weight loss, falls or infections.
• Act courteously towards residents and visitors while respecting dignity and individuality.
• Practice safe systems of work across tasks.
