Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant for Poets Mews Care Home in Somerset. Your focus will be to deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to a supportive care team, ensuring continuity of services to residents.

You don't need prior experience; we provide induction and training. Successful applicants will communicate well, show initiative, and be flexible to cover a range of duties on short notice.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards the residents and other people in the home.
• Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
• Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care to residents.
• Contribute fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
• Assist residents in all personal hygiene care, maintaining dignity and independence.
• Recognise clinical risk areas and elevate identified risks promptly.
