Job summary

Porthaven Care Homes’ Upton Mill Care Home in Tetbury is seeking a caring Care Assistant to support residents’ daily living and wellbeing in a warm, respectful environment.

You will work 36 hours per week on day and night shifts, with alternate weekends, and receive full training. No prior experience required; we value compassion, reliability, and teamwork, and provide ongoing development and DBS checks.

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Respect residents as individuals and follow care plans.
• Assist with daily living activities: washing, toileting, dressing and grooming.
• Promote dignity, choice and independence through person-centred care.
• Support residents during meals and provide refreshments as requested.
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through kindness and empathy.
