Job summary

Bluebird Care in Flitwick is seeking a caring Care Assistant to join our team. You will support customers with daily living tasks in their own homes, working independently or with a supportive team.

We offer part-time evening and weekend shifts, full training, a DBS check paid, a company smartphone if needed, paid holidays and mileage. Driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care.
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Ability to follow care plans.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs.
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition.
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal.
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning.
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for.
• Part time hours evenings and weekends only.
• Weekdays £13.20 per hour; Bank Holidays £21.50 per hour.
• Full training and shadowing.
• CRB/DBS check paid for.
• Work smartphone provided if required.
• Paid holiday.
• Paid mileage - 30p per mile.
• Attendance bonus paid annually before Christmas.
