Job summary

Bluebird Care Alton, Petersfield and Havant is looking for a Care Assistant to provide high‑quality, person‑centred support in customers’ own homes across Havant and surrounding areas. You will help with daily living, dignity, and independence, while joining a friendly, supportive team.

No prior care experience is required – full training is provided. A UK driving license and access to a vehicle are preferred to enable travel between visits.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Aged 18+.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Great communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
• Weekend availability (every other weekend or one day every weekend).
• No previous care experience required – training provided.
• A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm, understanding approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each customer’s individual needs
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Support with nutrition and hydration, including meal planning and preparation
• Help with medication and prescriptions
• Carry out light housework (tidying, laundry, cleaning)
• Be a dependable, friendly, and familiar face for our customers
