Job summary

Bluebird Care Folkestone and Dover is seeking a caring Care Assistant to support customers in their own homes. You will provide high-quality, person-centred care, assist with daily living tasks and help maintain independence in familiar surroundings.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required, with flexible shift patterns. We offer paid mileage and travel time, full induction and ongoing expert training, plus career development within a friendly, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient and respectful approach to care.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care in customers’ homes.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Help with meals, nutrition, and hydration.
• Support with medications and safe disposal of meds.
• Carry out light housework including laundry and cleaning.
• Be a dependable, friendly presence and build positive relationships.
• Follow care plans and document progress.
