Job summary

Bluebird Care is seeking a caring Care Assistant to support clients across Chelmsford and surrounding areas. You will help with daily living, promoting independence and wellbeing in clients' own homes.

Benefits include £15.50–£19.75 per hour, paid mileage, flexible shifts (7am–10pm), 28 days’ annual leave, full induction and ongoing training, and DBS/reference checks in line with regulations. A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not mandatory as full training is provided.
• Great communication skills and compassion are essential to support independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s needs.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing) and mobility support.
• Supporting with hydration and nutrition as needed.
• Safely supporting with medication prompting and administration.
• Carry out light housework such as tidying and laundry.
• Be a dependable, friendly face for customers you care for.
