Job summary

Avery Healthcare's Bridge Manor Care Home in Wolverhampton is seeking a caring Care Assistant. Shifts are 08:00–20:00, 08:00–14:00, or 14:00–20:00, delivering high standards of personal care to residents as part of a supportive team.

No prior experience is required as a thorough induction and training programme is provided; you must be able to communicate well, be respectful, and adapt to a range of duties at short notice. A DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrates initiative and takes respectful action toward residents and staff.
• Efficient, able to follow instructions from the team.
• Flexible and adaptable to cover varying responsibilities on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care to residents, contributing to the care team for continuity of services.
• Assist residents with personal hygiene, promoting independence, dignity and respect at all times.
• Identify and raise concerns on clinical risks such as weight loss, pressure sores, falls, and infections.
• Maintain courteous conduct toward residents and visitors and uphold residents' dignity.
