Highgate Care Services Ltd is seeking a Care Assistant for bank day and night shifts at Springfield Manor, Stoke. This permanent full‑time role (35 hours per week) offers a caring environment where residents are valued, supported and helped to thrive.

You’ll assist with daily living, mobility, and personal care, record daily notes, support activities, and respond to call bells. We value warmth, reliability, and teamwork, with occasional evenings and weekends required.

Qualifikationen

• Passionate about improving the lives of older people.
• Able to work flexibly across some evenings and weekends.
• Previous experience in a care setting is a bonus.

Aufgaben

• Support residents with washing, toileting, dressing and daily living.
• Assist with physical, emotional and spiritual care while maintaining dignity.
• Support residents with limited mobility and use aids effectively.
• Monitor residents who may be confused or have behavioural needs.
• Assist incontinence promotion and caring for residents at end of life.
• Record daily notes and follow care planning policies.
• Encourage social activities and hobbies within the home.
• Answer nurse call system and pass messages promptly.
• Report on resident wellbeing under supervision of senior staff.
• Carry out regular checks and welcome visitors with refreshments.
• Maintain clean rooms and wash/empty commodes as required.
• Clean and maintain equipment and keep the home tidy.
• Record participation and feedback for meaningful engagement.
