Job summary

gobecare in Coatbridge is seeking an experienced Care Assistant to join our care home team. This permanent, full-time role covers days and/or nights, delivering compassionate personal care and supporting residents with daily living while maintaining dignity and respect.

You will contribute to care plans, promote independence and work within a warm, person-centred environment. An SVQ2 in Health & Social Care is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred, however not essential.
• Genuine, empathetic approach to person-centred care.
• Calm, reliable and committed to showing up consistently.
• Clear communication and a team-first mindset.
• Strong attention to safety, confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate personal care while maintaining privacy, dignity and respect.
• Support daily living and encourage independence.
• Assist with mobility, positioning and safe transfers.
• Observe, report changes in wellbeing and keep accurate records.
• Provide companionship and reassurance through respectful communication.
