Job summary

Bluebird Care Cannock & Great Wyrley is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support clients in their homes across Cannock and Great Wyrley. You will help with daily living activities, promote independence, and deliver compassionate care in a supportive team environment.

The role offers full and part-time hours, a thorough induction, and opportunities for career development. You will receive training, a uniform, PPE, and DBS checks in line with government guidance.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Kind, compassionate attitude with a calm approach to care.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Ability to follow care plans.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s needs.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Help with meal prep and nutrition.
• Support with medication and prescriptions.
• Carry out light housework and general cleaning.
• Social visits and support with appointments or outings.
• Be a dependable, friendly presence for customers.
• Full induction and ongoing training.
