Job summary

The Bridles is recruiting a Care Assistant to join its care home in Wincanton. You will provide person-centred care, support independence, and assist with daily activities across day and night shifts.

The role focuses on compassionate, compliant care in a welcoming team environment. Key responsibilities include assisting with personal care, documenting changes, supporting nutrition and hydration, and enabling social activities, with emphasis on maintaining up-to-date care plans and resident

Qualifications

• Motivation, positivity and great interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently or with a team.
• Desirable: care home experience or Health and Social Care qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with companionship and personal care.
• Observe and document changes in residents' behaviour as per legislation.
• Support nutrition and hydration per care plan.
• Provide physical and mental stimulation through activities.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory requirements.
