Boutique Care Homes is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to provide compassionate daily living support in a warm home environment in Burgess Hill. You will assist with personal care, meals, mobility, and companionship, while promoting wellbeing and safety for residents.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating, while respecting their dignity and preferences.
• Mobility Support: Provide support with transferring, walking, and mobility aids, as needed, to ensure safety and independence.
• Meal Service: Serve nutritious meals and snacks, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations, provide emotional support, and encourage social interaction to combat loneliness and isolation.
• Housekeeping: Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying to maintain a clean and safe environment. Make and change beds, mattresses and bed linen.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of care provided, changes in the resident's condition, and other relevant information.
• Ensure the safety of residents by identifying and mitigating potential hazards and following established safety protocols.
• Regularly communicate with healthcare professionals, residents' families, and care team leaders to provide updates on the resident's well-being. Report to your Line Manager any changes or deterioration you observe in the health and general condition of residents, any personal or emotional problems that you become aware of and any matter which has or could potentially have a bearing on the overall well-being of the residents.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions as required for the better performance of your duties.
