Job summary

St Marys Chanterlands Lodge in Hull is seeking a Care Assistant for days to enrich residents' lives through compassionate daily support and dignity.

You will work 38.5 hours per week, permanent, with alternate weekends, providing personal care, mobility support and activity facilitation under supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care setting is advantageous.
• Able to work flexibly across evenings and weekends.
• Strong communication and empathy with residents.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living tasks such as washing, toileting, dressing and undressing.
• Assist residents with physical, emotional and spiritual needs while preserving dignity.
• Monitor residents with limited mobility and assist using aids provided.
• Observe care planning needs and record daily progress per policy.
• Support social activities and accompany residents in hobbies and Home life.
• Respond to nurse calls, door, and telephone promptly and report wellbeing observations.
