Job summary

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for a Band 2 Healthcare Assistant to join Grange Ward (formerly Churchill ward). You will support the nursing team in delivering patient care and complete the Trust's training programme to maintain competence.

Responsibilities

• Assist the registered nurse in the delivery of patient care.
• Communicate with patients in a manner that respects their level of understanding.
• Assist with preparation and delivery of meals and beverages, aiding patients as required.
• Participate in the admission process of patients as directed by the registered nurse.
• Communicate effectively with patients and carers to inform them of changes or delays to appointments/investigations.
• Carry out and record vital observations (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration, urine analysis, weight, height) and report abnormalities to the nurse in charge.
