Job summary

Abbeyfield Living Society is seeking an Activities Coordinator for Westall House in Birch Grove. The role involves delivering engaging activities for residents, including those with dementia, and building personalized, meaningful experiences. 21 hours per week, with shifts 9am-5pm, on-site in Horsted Keynes.

The post requires strong organisation, empathy and teamwork with staff and volunteers, plus eligibility to work in the UK and DBS checks.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting older people in care or community settings.
• Ability to plan varied activities for residents including those with dementia.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with volunteers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of social activities for residents.
• Build relationships with residents to tailor activities to needs and abilities.
• Coordinate with staff and volunteers to ensure activities run smoothly and safely.
