About The Role

We’re looking for a Compass Practitioner to carry out the day-to-day support work of young people and their parents/ carers who are at risk or have been exploited as part of a multi-agency Child Exploitation (CE) Team.

The aim of the role is to provide a range of evidence-based interventions which support children, young people and families across the 0-19 age continuum, ensuring they receive appropriate, timely, outcome-focused support.

About The Candidate

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a commitment to a young person-centred and trauma-informed approach, with experience or knowledge of working with children who are at risk of exploitation. You’ll need to be able to demonstrate evidence of training in related areas as well as a good standard of education and have experience working in an anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive manner.

Your experience should include collaborative work with other agencies, experience of working in a team and substantial experiences of direct work with young people and their families. You will need a track record of working with challenging behaviour as well as working towards deadlines and being able to accurately update assessment forms and recordings. You will have a strong child-first and strengths-based ethos.

Above all, you will be looking to improve the lives of children by working with them to build on their strengths and promote a childhood free from exploitation. This is a great opportunity to join an established and progressive multi-agency team and be part of our ambitious journey.
