Job description

The role

We are seeking a Company Secretarial Senior Associate to join the growing Business Services Group at Saffery. This is a newly created national team, designed to lead and define the firm's company secretarial offering, and provide support across the firm to partners and staff in delivering this key service. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting a range of company secretarial services supporting the Company Secretarial Manager and the firm's clients within the private sector. This role is ideal for a senior looking to progress their career in this space and become a valued member of a collaborative team.

The role reports to the Outsourcing and Accounts Partner and the Company Secretarial Manager.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining statutory books and records
• Preparing and submitting documents for filing at Companies House, including confirmation statements
• Preparing resolutions, forms, and supporting documents for share capital transactions
• Incorporating UK entities
• Registering UK establishments of overseas companies
• Submitting dormant company accounts
• Submitting and advising on voluntary striking off applications
• Submitting PSC notifications and updates
• Filing Register of Overseas Entities
• Drafting responses to technical queries from clients and colleagues
• Working with internal teams and colleagues

Processes and software

• Assist with review processes and develop a standardized set of procedures nationally

• This role suits someone who is CGI qualified or a qualified accountant looking to move into company secretarial work, or someone with equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in professional services is beneficial.
• Knowledge of the Companies Act and relevant statutes is required.

• Possesses a flexible, professional approach with effective communication skills with managers, partners, and clients.
