Job Description:

A global organisation with an office based in Wakefield is looking to recruit a Company Secretary Paralegal in a business-critical position to support their EMEA Legal Team.

Candidates applying for this position will need to have a clear and demonstrable interest in company secretarial work. Preferred candidates will have previous experience in a company secretarial capacity and in handling corporate administration or secretarial management. The business is also open to applications from candidates currently working as paralegals in other practice areas who are interested in transitioning into company secretarial work, provided they can demonstrate a strong interest through relevant qualifications or administration skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring corporate compliance and will prepare and file corporate secretarial documentation in a timely manner. This includes supporting shareholder and board meetings as required. Candidates should have either a law degree or a formal company secretary qualification, given the need to apply principles of corporate law across the UK and other jurisdictions.

This role offers hybrid working, with attendance expected 2-3 times a week at the Wakefield office. The company is willing to accommodate candidates who prefer to attend more frequently. This position is not suitable for those seeking 100% remote work.
