Job description

An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Company Secretarial Administrator/Paralegal to work in an exceptional independent private hospital near Central London. You will be working for one of the UK's leading healthcare providers.

This hospital is one of the UK's largest independent charitable hospitals, committed to high-quality patient care, a broad range of services, and excellent staff and consultants.

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background with a degree in business, finance, or law
  • Minimum of 12 months administration experience

Key duties include:

  1. Assist with the administration of the Trustee Board, including preparing agendas, board packs, minute-taking, and record keeping, under the supervision of the Company Secretary and General Counsel. Attendance at meetings scheduled during and outside normal working hours is required.
  2. Support the Executive Assistant to the CEO with Board matters.
  3. Assist with timely filings to Companies House and the Charity Commission.
  4. Communicate effectively to build good working relationships across the organization.
  5. Prepare accurate minutes and ensure dissemination and follow-up on actions.
  6. Provide administrative support for corporate governance and legal compliance.
  7. Support the Company Secretary and General Counsel with administrative tasks, including diary management, filing, scanning, and ad hoc duties.
  8. Assist with horizon scanning for legal and governance developments.

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Post-graduate qualification such as LPC or chartered secretarial qualification (desirable)
  • Proficiency in minute-taking
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong computer and keyboard skills
  • Experience in corporate governance within healthcare, charity, or regulated environments (desirable)

Salary and benefits:

The successful candidate will receive an annual salary of £29,642. This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract for 37.5 hours per week. Benefits include:
