Job summary

Atkins Dellow LLP seeks an experienced Company Commercial Solicitor to advance client-focused, transactional work in a forward-thinking, collaborative firm. The role requires around 5 years PQE with broad advisory coverage across shareholder agreements, M&A, commercial contracts, and data protection/IP.

Expect a client-facing position that supports business owners and SMEs, with opportunities to shape the practice and mentor others.

Qualifications

• 5+ years PQE in company/commercial law.
• Experience advising on shareholder agreements, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, business sales/purchases, data protection and IP.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Client-facing with ability to develop long-term relationships and take the lead on transactional work.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We’re looking for a Company Commercial Solicitor with around 5 years’ post-qualification experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be confident advising on a broad range of business matters including:

• Shareholder agreements and corporate structuring
• Mergers and acquisitions
• Commercial contracts
• Business sales and purchases
• Data protection and IP

You’ll be working closely with business owners, SMEs, and investors, offering practical, solutions-focused advice that helps clients grow, protect, and realise the value of their businesses. This is a client-facing role, ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term relationships and taking the lead on transactional work.

You’ll also play a part in developing the practice area – contributing to client development, mentoring junior colleagues, and helping shape the firm’s commercial strategy.

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years PQE in company/commercial law, ideally with exposure to owner-managed businesses and SMEs
• Strong technical knowledge and sound commercial judgement
• A proactive, client-focused approach with a track record of managing files independently
• Comfortable with networking, Business Development, and working across teams
• Confident in managing files independently and liaising with clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A genuine interest in helping businesses thrive

Working arrangements

• Full-time hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
• Occasional travel between offices may be required
• Typically in one of our offices depending on geographical convenience, needs of clients and the team, occasional days from home on a rota basis
