This well-established regional law firm, with over 200 years of history in Basingstoke, is renowned for its strong heritage, long-standing HNW client base, and trusted local reputation. The firm is currently seeking an experienced Solicitor or Associate (2+ years PQE) to join its expanding Company and Commercial team in Basingstoke. This is an opportunity to work directly alongside a highly experienced Partner with over 20 years' experience advising a broad portfolio of clients, including UK corporates, international businesses, entrepreneurs, SMEs, start-ups, charities, and non-profits.

The Role

The successful candidate will join a thriving Business Services team, advising on a broad variety of Corporate and Commercial work, including:

  • Company law matters such as incorporations, restructures, and shareholder agreements
  • Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including service agreements, franchise and distribution agreements, NDAs, and IT contracts
  • Handling corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, share/asset purchases, and disposals
  • Advising on corporate governance, compliance, and risk management
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships with a varied portfolio ranging from entrepreneurs and SMEs to charities and international businesses
  • Supporting junior team members and contributing to business development

Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience in Corporate and/or Commercial law
