Company Accountant – FTC
Location:London (3 days office based)
Salary:£45,000-£50,000

About the Role

We've partnered with a growing insurance brokerage, who are looking for aCompany Accountantto join on a 6-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll support the financial reporting for our international holding entities and help drive automation and standardisation across expense and cash processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping for international holding entities
  • Month-end processes: journal postings, reconciliations (expenses, accruals, payroll, VAT, bank recs)
  • Collaborate with Group Finance (US), AP, payroll, tax, and treasury to ensure accurate accounting
  • Review and assess accounting treatment under UK GAAP and US GAAP
  • Proactively improve processes and controls
  • Support the development of Workday and enhance system control processes
  • Assist with ad hoc finance projects

About You
  • 3–4 years’ relevant experience
  • Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, and reconciling journals and accounts
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
  • Experience with Workday is a plus (not essential)
