Job description

Job Title: Group Accountant

Are you an experienced Company Accountant or Management Accountant seeking a new opportunity? Do you possess skills in producing Management Accounts and managing ongoing financial operations in a manufacturing or similar organization? Are you interested in working in a head office team responsible for group accounting functions?

Kingscroft has been asked to recruit a Group Accountant for a specialist manufacturing business. The ideal candidate can be qualified or QBE, with experience in manufacturing or a related sector. Supporting the Group FC, you will be confident in financial reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, management accounts, cash flow management, and supplier payments.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Preparation of monthly management accounts for individual sites and at the group level, including variance analysis commentary.
  2. Compiling forecasts and budgets for assigned companies and consolidating these at the group level.
  3. Collating reports from group companies to provide high-level commentary and preparing key daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the group.
  4. Monitoring cash flow, authorizing bank transactions, and updating control reports for supplier payments, ensuring timely and correct payments across all companies.
  5. Managing environmental and utility reporting, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  6. Overseeing compliance with bank lending covenants and preparing related reports.
  7. Performing reconciliations of allocated companies and ensuring intercompany balances are reconciled and settled according to group policies.
  8. Assisting the GFC with compliance audits across group companies and participating in occasional site visits.
  9. Handling various administrative tasks and participating in special projects as assigned.
