Job summary

Cooper Parry Finance Recruitment partners with a long-established Blairgowrie organisation to recruit a Company Accountant. You will own the finance function, producing management accounts, budgets, cash flow projections and insightful financial reporting for decision-making.

This broad, hands-on role combines financial stewardship with operational support, including leading a small team, maintaining controls, and partnering with the board and external advisers. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Experience producing management accounts and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of financial controls and accounting processes.
• Ability to analyse information and provide meaningful business insight.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication skills with senior stakeholders.
• Good systems and Excel capability.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with the Board, you will take ownership of the finance function and provide accurate, insightful financial information to support decision‑making across the organisation.

The Candidate

We're looking for an individual with strong accounting fundamentals, sound commercial judgement and the confidence to build credibility across the organisation. You may already be operating as a Company Accountant or Finance Manager, or you may currently be a Senior Management Accountant, Assistant Finance Manager or similar, looking for your first opportunity to lead a finance function.
