Our client is looking for a Company Accountant to join the company and head up the UK side of the business in a sole accounting role, working on a fully remote basis.

A key part of the role is to implement financial controls and internal processes to ensure alignment between the UK and Romanian operations.

The Romanian business handles most transactional accounting duties, while the UK role includes:

• Budgeting and cost management
• Variance analysis and forecasting
• Managing cash flow
• Monthly and annual reporting, working directly with the MD
• Conducting audits and ensuring compliance
• Inventory and stock control
• Liaising with the Supply Chain Manager on materials forecasting
• Managing the UK staff payroll

This role does not have direct reports, and qualification is not required.

Key skills include:

• Strong experience in implementing financial systems and controls
• Proven ability to develop internal processes and controls
• Excellent IT skills and systems proficiency
• Experience working with or dealing with overseas companies
