At GoodOaks, we're proud of the professional yet personal care and support GoodOaks provide. We are delighted to provide our Social Circles service to clients in the Bournemouth and Poolearea. We are an award-winning home care company, we strive to be the go-to provider of quality care by valuing, developing, and rewarding the dedicated individuals who work with us.

Due to planned growth with our Social Circles service we’re looking for a Companionship and Activity Host to join our Pooleteam, with start date expected to beOctober/November.Based out of your own home, you’ll provide meaningful, person-centred companionship and activities for up to four older people keen to be sociable. Your compassionate work will provide a welcoming environment for our clients, person led activities and a delicious lunch.

What will you do?

  • Care for a maximum of 4 older clients in your own home on hosting days.
  • Collect and return to your clients at the start and end of the day.
  • Offer a nutritious, home-cooked hot lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
  • Provide a safe and engaging environment to help support our clients wellbeing.
  • Create meaningful interactions that stimulate mental and social engagement.

Who are you?

  • Previous care experience isn’t essential but you can demonstrate skills and qualities for the role.
  • You’re empathetic, and able to read and respond to the emotional needs of older people.
  • You gain great satisfaction from delivering engagement and care topeople.
  • You’re an excellent listener with the ability to relate to people from various.
  • Always bringing a positive and flexible attitude to the role.
  • A full driving license, access to a 5-door car, and the ability to transport clients.
  • Your home must have easy ground-floor access, a downstairs toilet, and minimal steps.
  • You're willing to undertake a DBS check to work with vulnerable adults
  • You ideally live in Bournemouth or Poole. However, any local applications are welcome.

What do we offer?

  • Part time working one to three days per week whilst ‘hosting’ from 10am – 3pm
  • £110 per day & food costs up to £11 per person
  • All expenses covered including mileage at 45p a mile
  • Direct and ongoing leadership support both in-person and remotely
  • Fully supported risk assessments, health and safety and activity guidance
  • Paidtraining will be provided and ongoing development
  • Blue Light Card discount Scheme
  • Paid DBS check if required
